Biography
At the 2023 National Goalball Championships, Aaron Prevost was named MVP in the men’s tournament as he helped Ontario win the bronze medal. A year earlier he was a member of Team Canada at the Americas Championships in Brazil.
Prevost has played goalball for more than 20 years. His career highlights include being part of a world junior team that won a silver medal and making the national team.
A student at the W. Ross Macdonald School for the blind, goalball was a sport played recreationally. In grade nine he was asked to come try out for the high school team.
Prevost also plays blind hockey and has represented Canada as a member of the Toronto Blind Jays at the Beep Baseball World Series.
He was born with his visual impairment.
